About Nifty Sector Rotation (RRG)

This free Relative Rotation Graph plots NSE sectoral and thematic indices against a benchmark such as Nifty 50. Use it to spot sector rotation early — which groups are leading, weakening, lagging, or improving — with daily or weekly RS-Ratio and RS-Momentum tails.

An RRG is a two-axis chart of relative strength (RS-Ratio) and relative momentum (RS-Momentum) versus a benchmark. Each Nifty sector becomes a point that rotates through four quadrants over time. The trail behind each point shows recent rotation history.

Leading (top-right): stronger than the benchmark with positive momentum. Weakening (bottom-right): still strong but losing momentum. Lagging (bottom-left): underperforming with weak momentum. Improving (top-left): still weak but momentum is turning up — often the early sector-rotation candidates.

Start in Weekly mode for structural leadership, then switch to Daily to time entries. Prefer sectors with tails pointing deeper into Leading, and treat single-session hops as noise until the trail confirms the move. Compare constituents on Indices & sectors tools before sizing a trade.

Daily RRG is responsive and noisier — better for short-term confirmation. Weekly RRG smooths session wobble and shows the multi-week rotations that swing and positional traders care about.
