Frequently Asked Questions

A Straddle Option Chain (Combined OC) combines Call and Put option data for each strike price into a single row. This view helps you analyze the total activity (volume, open interest, price changes) for both call and put options together, making it easier to identify high-activity strikes and market sentiment.

Key Benefits:

  • See combined volume and OI for each strike
  • Analyze total market activity at a glance
  • Identify key support/resistance levels
  • Compare strikes more efficiently

The Straddle Option Chain (Combined OC) combines Call and Put option data for each strike into a single row, while the regular Option Chain shows them separately.

Key Differences:

  • Straddle OC: Shows combined metrics (Volume, OI, LTP) for both calls and puts together
  • Regular OC: Displays calls and puts in separate columns
  • Use Straddle OC when: You want to quickly identify high-activity strikes or analyze total market interest at each strike level
  • Use Regular OC when: You need to compare call vs put activity side-by-side or analyze individual option contracts

  • Vol: Total Volume (CE Volume + PE Volume)
  • Vol Chg: Volume change from previous day
  • Vol Chg %: Percentage change in volume from previous day
  • LTP Chg: Change in Last Traded Price
  • Comb LTP: Combined Last Traded Price (CE LTP + PE LTP)
  • VWAP: Volume Weighted Average Price
  • VWAP Chg: Change in VWAP (LTP - VWAP)
  • LTP VWAP%: Percentage deviation of LTP from VWAP
  • Avg IV: Average Implied Volatility (CE IV + PE IV) / 2
  • Comb OI: Combined Open Interest (CE OI + PE OI)
  • OI Diff: OI Difference (PE OI - CE OI). Positive = bullish, Negative = bearish
  • OI PCR: Put-Call Ratio (Put OI / Call OI). >1.2 = bullish, <0.8 = bearish

Most common reasons:

  • Market Hours: Options data is limited outside trading hours (9:15 AM - 3:30 PM IST)
  • Weekends/Holidays: No trading = no fresh data
  • New Strikes: Newly added strikes might not have active trading yet
  • Low Activity: Some strikes may have zero volume or OI

Quick fixes: Try refreshing the page, check if markets are open, or select a more popular stock/symbol.

The Straddle Option Chain helps identify key support/resistance levels and market sentiment:

  • High Combined Volume: Indicates strong interest at that strike - potential support/resistance
  • OI PCR > 1.2: Bullish sentiment (more put OI suggests downside protection)
  • OI PCR < 0.8: Bearish sentiment (more call OI suggests upside protection)
  • OI Diff Positive: More put OI than call OI - generally bullish
  • LTP VWAP%: Shows if current price is above/below average - helps identify overbought/oversold conditions
