Frequently Asked Questions

Multi-strike OI charts open interest (and optionally premium) across several strikes at once — not just ATM. Traders use it on Nifty / Bank Nifty to see where call walls and put walls sit, which strikes are adding OI (buildup), and which are shedding OI (unwinding) during the session.

Heavy put OI below spot is often read as support (put writing / protection). Heavy call OI above spot is often read as resistance (call writing). Multi-strike view lets you compare those walls side by side and watch whether OI is still building or getting covered as price approaches the level.

OI mode shows where money is parked and whether fresh positions are opening or closing. Premium mode shows how CE/PE prices move across the same strikes — useful for comparing rich vs cheap strikes and spotting skew shifts. Many traders flip between both: OI for structure, premium for timing.

Individual plots each selected strike’s CE and PE series separately. Call vs Put stacks or compares sides so you can see which side is dominating buildup. Use Call vs Put when you care about CE/PE imbalance; use Individual when you are managing specific sold or bought strikes.

High volume = most liquid strikes for intraday (tight spreads). High OI = biggest open walls for support/resistance. Custom = pin your trade strikes or ATM ± a band. Start with High OI for structure, then Custom once you know the levels that matter for your setup.

Use 1–5 min for Bank Nifty / Nifty scalp confirmation, 15–30 min for swing-of-day positioning, and higher intervals to filter noise when you only care about session structure. Lower intervals catch quick OI spikes; higher intervals show whether the wall is sticky.

Sellers watch whether OI at their short strikes keeps rising (more writing / conviction) or drops (covering / squeeze risk). Rising call OI above spot with flat price often supports a short-call / iron-condor thesis; aggressive put OI drop into a bounce can warn of covering. Always pair with spot and IV — OI alone is not a trade signal.
