Frequently Asked Questions
Use 1-min or 5-min interval to watch OI Change across ATM strikes. Continuous OI increase in CE signals call writing or bullish buildup, while rising PE OI shows put writing or bearish buildup. Compare volume spikes with OI Change to confirm genuine accumulation vs short covering.
For Bank Nifty scalping, 1-min and 3-min intervals work best. Track premium changes and volume spikes at ATM and near-ATM strikes. High volume at specific strikes indicates strong support or resistance. Use 5-min or 15-min intervals for swing positions in Bank Nifty weekly expiry.
OI unwinding shows as negative OI Change with high volume. Sudden drop in CE OI with premium increase indicates call buyers exiting or sellers covering. Similarly, PE OI drop with rising premium shows put unwinding. Day Change column shows total OI reduction from market open.
VWAP is Volume Weighted Average Price for each strike in the selected interval. If current premium is below VWAP, institutions likely bought cheaper; above VWAP means expensive entry. Use VWAP to identify fair value for CE and PE strikes during option buying or selling.
For Nifty, ATM ± 5 to ± 10 covers most intraday moves. For volatile Bank Nifty, use ATM ± 10 to ± 15. Custom strike selection helps when tracking specific support or resistance levels. Select wider range on volatile expiry days to capture entire OI shifts.
Yes, use Historical mode to analyze past expiry days, study OI patterns around events, and compare how current OI buildup matches previous trends. Select specific dates to see intraday OI flow, volume distribution, and premium evolution for CE and PE strikes.
Look for consistent OI increase with rising volume at specific strikes. High CE buildup acts as resistance, PE buildup acts as support. If both CE and PE OI rise at ATM, expect range-bound movement. Highlight high/low in display settings to spot peak OI zones quickly.
